The International Youth STEM Society was co-founded by Aakash and Atreya Manaswi, who recognized the urgent need for greater youth and minority access to STEM education, research resources, mentorship, and financial support. Together, they envisioned a platform that would create an inclusive and uplifting environment where passionate students could explore science, technology, engineering, and math—regardless of their background.

Atreya’s motivation stemmed from his personal experience. Beginning his research journey at just 12 years old, he struggled to find mentors and opportunities, facing the challenges many young scientists encounter when trying to break into the field. Aakash, driven by his own path in scientific innovation, saw firsthand how limited access could hold back brilliant minds. Both brothers realized that the STEM community needed to evolve to support not just a few, but anyone with the curiosity and ambition to make a difference.

Through their leadership, Aakash, Atreya, and the International Youth STEM Society team are dedicated to championing STEM educational equity. They aim to empower the next generation with the tools, confidence, and support they need to pursue research, impact millions, and contribute to groundbreaking scientific discoveries.
